Summary: Elijah's having a fucked-up day. And then Elijah's having a fucked up day. And then Elijah's having a fucked-up day. And then....
A/N: Much thanks to
laylah, who is a fabulous beta, a great friend, and my favorite pusher. Without her, I would be lily-white and headed for heaven, but having much less fun. Also, Stephen Geoffreys (who played Evil Ed in Fright Night) really has been doing gay porn since about 1994. I haven't seen any of the movies in question, but I can't imagine they're good, considering the titles. If you're curious, check out his listing at IMDB. And lastly, my very careful perusal of a lovely screencap of naked Viggo suggests to me that he's uncut, and so I've run with that. I don't really have any way of verifying (though if I did, I'd hardly be sharing it with you all, now would I? *g*).

Date: 2004-03-07 02:48 am (UTC)ps started your scarf today, but am already unsure that i like the wool that i'm using and might go back to the wool store on tuesday or something and buy some other stuff, because this just isn't reminding me of you. also, it's red/orange jewel tones, and it occured to me on the way home that i suspect you're more of a purple/blue jewel tone kind of person. yeah. so back to the store tuesday. just, you know, so you know. don't want you to feel unloved.

Date: 2004-03-07 11:33 pm (UTC)I love the bit about Orlando's back; and "they're moving in slow motion or under water, their motions languorous rather than frenzied, the sensations building slowly;" and that Orli hasn't seen Groundhog Day. And... everything really.
Thank you.

Date: 2004-03-08 02:11 pm (UTC)But they were just so beautiful together and Orlando was just unconsciously doing all the right things, all the things that made him shine brighter than the others, in this very uncomplicated way, totally himself. All of this combined with how tired Elijah was of the situation and how much he needed Orlando to be it was just *makes incoherent hand gesture* so freaking beautiful. I can't find a more fitting adjective for it, really.
I loved the whole thing but I just fell in love with two parts. The first one because it was like a punch in the stomach (not in a bad way). And the second one made this... warm undefinable feeling bloom (ha! no pun intended though) inside my chest and that was when the crying intensified times ten and I had to take a break before continuing:
1- Orlando shakes his head. "Every day I wake up and stand up out of bed is a day I believe in something unbelievable."
2- The Bean thing had hurt,..., but he thinks that if he wakes up in his own bed in the morning his heart might break.
This was one of the most beautiful stories I've ever read... *sniffles*

Date: 2004-03-08 08:07 pm (UTC)But I did bookmark this to come back and fb, because it was awesome. It's also a keeper; I've put it in my memories. I'll hit you up with some more specific feedback when I'm not so sleepy (and because I want to reread it first), but basically everyone seems nicely IC (I enjoyed your very unusual SB), if a bit schmoopy (OB), and I enjoyed Elijah's internal thoughts. I thought his preoccupation with music was appropriate (although usually a whiff of songfic makes me skip a fic, because it's so frequently so badly done. Authors I've liked in the past can get away with it). Most notably, I don't care for Viggo in fics, and usually skim parts where he appears, but I didn't skim this one- I even enjoyed this Viggo, and that's about the second time ever (first goes to
Anyway, off to bed with me.

Date: 2004-03-18 11:18 am (UTC)Next: So I forced myself to wait until lunchtime to actually read this so I had a chance of actually getting work done. I started it, and I got sucked in, and about halfway through I realised I needed to pee, but it was so good that I finished the story first.
The only thing I didn't like (and it's small) was that Sean Bean seemed more like Boromir than his own person, but I feel like a fool after reading your other comments for not even once thinking Orlando was being schmoopy.
Oh, and one more complaint -- I wanted it to be longer. I wanted him to fuck his way though the entire cast (well, no, not Sean Astin) -- and the crew -- because you did a really good job of writing convincing smut that wasn't over the top.

Date: 2004-04-12 06:28 pm (UTC)Can I just say that I <3 you? I absolutely lovelovelove your Elijah and Orlando. They are so.... I don't know.... I don't have the vocabulary to describe them. But, I'm reading this, and I get a little hot and bothered from teh sex, and a little misty and having a little sweetachy feeling in my chest from teh fluff. I love it all. Thank you very much for such a great story. And for writing one of my favorite RPS pairings so well.

Date: 2009-04-27 07:23 pm (UTC)Your archive is such a treat. I really do admire your style of writing. It's hot, perceptive, clever, hot, funny, surprising,... when Elijah opened the door to find Bean Bean! I was shocked and ... um... more than pleased. lol! Did I mention hot? And as an Orlijah gal at heart, the ending was perfect for me.
