More recs 'n' stuff, based on what we talked about yesterday:

That huge A/U-ish story I was telling you about (and that I'm still not quite done reading!) is Mired in Middle Earth by Elanor. Occasionally flawed, but such a great concept that I really like it anyway.

The celebration of Billy Boyd's Scots brogue (reading the Wellington phone book) is In Which Billy Boyd Says Stuff by Honey. Pure silly fluff.

And that "Dom meets Johnny Depp at the Bloomingdale's makeup counter"? That would be Eyeliner by Uluithiel. Wide open for a sequel [hint, hint], if Uluithiel was okay with that. [eg]

And lastly, I think we should create a LJ community called "thespecialhell" for posting RPS and other Special Hell-worthy fic... What do you think? Wanna be a mod?

Oh, and if you get a special-hell community going, I'd totally be down with that. All friendslocked and stuff, to keep your qualms about RPS from being trouble?

(And does this mean that you're going to write "Riding the Mechanical Tree"?)

What messenger(s) do you use? This would be fantastically much easier if we could just be talking.

I am tempted to say no, let's not make it *just* RPS, because while I like reading it, I still don't feel any kind of desire to write it.

Fantasize madly about having sex with half the LotR cast, yes. Write the horrible Mary Sue fic that would result from such fantasies, no.
