Well, I found it! At least I found the one I'm thinking of, not sure it's the one you were looking for. Anyway, the one I was thinking of is called the Triangle series and it features three main characters by the names of James Foley, Casey Mills and Dany Rizzo. Unfortunately, the site is no longer up, and the author has deleted her lj. Thank goodness for the wayback machine. :-)
Though if it is the fic you're looking for, there might be some pages hard to load, and you might want to save it in case you can't access it anymore after a while. Anyway, here's a link to the main page, hope it works!
