Playing Hookey

So I'm supposed to be writing my newest story--"Stop, Rewind, (re)Play"--(which is going a bit slower than I'd like at the moment) but instead I'm going through my flist because I was at skip=500 earlier today. *sigh*

(Actually, I'm supposed to be working, but there's all this smut wandering around in my head and it needs to be let out.)

Um, yeah. Some of it.

It's actually going to be SB/EW, VM/EW, DM/EW, and OB/EW. But not as slutty as that sounds, really. It's...complicated. Trust me, though. *g* (After all, Orlijah is my OTP.)

It's also going to take a bit to write, and I may be hijacked in the middle with other, shorter stories, but I'm trying to write some every day so that I keep the momentum going. (If you--or anyone else on my flist--is interested in what I'm working on, I keep that info in my To-Do list, which includes title, pairing, a guesstimate of percentage done, and the current word-count.

I'm working on it. Every time I turn my back, though, the boys get into something. Suddenly Elijah and Dom are playing mild bondage games and I have no idea where that came from. *g* And I'm at 6,800 words, but not even halfway done yet. Argh!

If I wasn't afraid that later developments might necessitate changes to earlier sections, I might post it as a WiP, but it's all kind of tightly tied together.

You know, that exact same thing happened to me with "Play". I ended up excising a couple of really big scenes at the end (saving them up for later), because it was just getting too unweildy!
