Popslashers?

Can I get a little help from the popslashers on my f-list? I just need some basic background info on...well, pretty much any of the boybands, really. It's for a story, but it's not a popslash story per se. Um. Yeah. That's confusing, isn't it?

Let's try this. Questions I'd like to have answered:

1. Do any of the current crop of boybands have young-ish members. Say, early 20s?

a. If so, what's the basic background and make-up of that band. Members' names/ages/towns of origin, and when the band started, and maybe the names of anyone particularly important to their history -- agents, previous members who left, etc.

2. Is there anything I need to know about boyband concerts, etc., that's different from non-boyband band concerts, etc., so as to avoid making a fool of myself when including them in a story?

And if y'all are looking at me now and saying, "Dude, that's not how it works. You don't even know what you're asking," then maybe someone willing to walk me through a brief overview of the whole popslash thing can email or IM me and we can chat in more detail about what I'm trying to write. *g*

if you can wait till tomorrow, i'll be happy to talk explicitly!!! until then, crack_van is great, pop_reference answers specific requests, and maybe this (http://www.livejournal.com/users/just_temporary/803.html) will give you a couple of more links.

as for 1: justin timberlake and nick carter are in their early 20s (22 and 23 I think) and lance bass is like a year older (too lazy to look up birth years).

Oh, also, if you actually need to see them in action, now that the footage_project is up, you can get a whole bunch of stuff!!! I can tell you a couple of things that might be useful depending on when and who etc., but with a broadband you're set (can you see my pimping desire???)
